Do I have to do the test myself? No way! When you attend the clinic, one of our experienced pharmacists will take your swab for you. This improves accuracy and ensures sufficient sample is taken. Your clinician will also verify your details to make sure they match your passport and sample is posted to labortory by special delivery, for only £175.

PCR stands for Polymerase Chain Reaction and is a method of testing used to detect infectious diseases, including COVID-19. A PCR test is performed in a laboratory and is indicative of an individual’s COVID status at the time their sample is taken. It does not show previous infection. PCR tests are internationally recognised as the gold standard for COVID-19 testing by World Health Organisation (WHO) and the backbone of every governments national testing program.
Your sample will be collected by one of our trained healthcare professionals using a nasopharyngeal (nose and throat) swab, the process should take no more than 5 minutes.We then Post your sample by Special Delivery to the testing laboratory, and they will email you with your result.
On the day of your appointment, please present yourself to the pharmacy counter no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time. You must provide photographic ID at your appointment (a passport for when traveling).
Your sample will be sent to our ISO accredited laboratory for analysis. Once processed your results will be emailed directly to the email address provided the next day.
Your Randox Health COVID-19 RT-PCR test report will contain all necessary information.
We accept cancellations up to 24 hours before your appointment time. Please contact us via the contact section supplying your name, appointment date & time . Refunds are processed within 7 working days.
We can not advise on when to take the test due to ever changing government regulations. We recommend you check with the relevant government website.

Walton Pharmacy provides screening on a best endeavours basis using test kits approved for use in the UK and Europe. Testing provides a historic, momentary result. An individuals health status can change between sampling and reporting of result. All results are based on the sample specimen provided and do not take into account any clinical assessment or patient diagnosis. It is therefore imperative to closely follow sampling instructions and ensure a good quality of specimen collection. Specimens of poor quality may fail processing or provide inconclusive results on test instruments. These will not be refunded. In such cases it is advised that the individual purchase a new test kit for a retest.
*Walton Pharmacy prides itself on speedy sample turnaround and aims to provide these results within 24-48 hours of receipt of sample specimen however accepts no liability in the event of a testing delay. All test results and turnarounds are indications and not guarantees. The laboratory operates 7 days per week (closed 25th Dec & 1st Jan, turnaround times over these dates will be extended), Royal Mail delivers to our lab Monday – Saturday however individuals should check with Royal Mail for delivery dates through Christmas and other holidays.
All shipping and transport is provided by third parties (Royal Mail/DPD) for which Walton Pharmacy is not responsible or liable for delay, loss or damage to tests.
This test is designed as a screening test for both symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals and groups. In the event of a positive result and/or displaying symptoms of COVID-19, please follow current government guidelines. Positive results will be passed to PHE for feeding into the NHS track and trace system.
Due to the constantly changing rules and regulations, individuals are responsible to assess the suitabilty of this test, as well as the returns options against the test requirements for their airline/destination country. Assured Screening is unable to provide any advice or guidance with regards to acceptance criteria for airlines/countries and accepts no liability for this.
If you cancel your test before we post the item, we will process a full refund.If your test has been shipped but you no longer wish to use it, we can offer a refund on receipt of the unused kit , less a 25% administration and restocking fee.Once a test has been submitted to the laboratory or returns network, it will be processed upon receipt and is non-refundable.
