How the COVID-19 vaccination service works at Walton Pharmacy
The COVID-19 booster vaccine is given as an injection, similar to the flu vaccine, and is given 180 days after your first dose.We are only using the Pfizer vaccine for all patients. You can ONLY book your appointment via the NHS COVID-19 site.
The NHS will invite you to book your vaccination
The NHS will contact you when you’re eligible to book your COVID-19 booster vaccine and you’ll be directed to the national booking system, where you can choose your preferred location, dates and times for both of your vaccination appointments.
- Select Walton Pharmacy vaccination clinic
On your appointment date, arrive at Walton Pharmacy vaccination clinic and you’ll be greeted by one of our team. Don’t forget to wear a facemask and bring your booking reference , NHS number & the consent form with you, this will help us to check you in quickly on the day.
Come to our vaccine centre for your appointment
If you’re driving, you’ll be asked to wait around 15 minutes before leaving. Following your vaccination, we’ll provide you with the necessary aftercare information.
We are a NHS COVID-19 vaccination site.
Please first book via the NHS booking site. You will then attend our pharmacy on the date and time given on the site. Please remember to bring this appointment letter and your NHS number with you at your appointment.
Please do not call the pharmacy as we can not vaccinate you unless you have an NHS appointment.
